Workshops

Bring the magic of Trusty & Mona to your local area! Our interactive workshops are designed for children aged 4 to 8, blending engaging digital storytelling with hands-on, tactile learning. We help young minds build a "circular mindset", teaching them the value of textiles and how to turn pre-loved fabrics into exciting new creations. Our sessions are fully adaptable to suit your space, timetable, and audience.

Trusty & Mona encourages:

  • responsible consumption

  • creative reuse

  • environmental awareness through early-years education

Perfect for schools, preschools, and structured groups. We kick off with an exclusive screening of a Trusty & Mona educational video. Afterwards, we practise our new vocabulary, host a lively Q&A, and dive straight into a guided craft activity using pre-loved fabrics. Children will either make their own upcycled creation to take home, or work together on a fantastic collaborative project for the classroom! Every child also receives an A5 colouring flyer featuring eco-tips for parents.

The Classroom Experience

Designed specifically for bustling community hubs, libraries, and public events! This flexible, drop-in style session is brilliant for spaces where children might arrive at different times. It focuses purely on hands-on textile crafts with no screens or audiovisual equipment required, making it incredibly easy to set up anywhere. Every child takes home their upcycled creation and a parent resource flyer.

Let's Build a Greener Future Together

We are at the beginning of an exciting journey, and we are actively inviting County Councils, heritage officers, and local businesses to collaborate with us.

The programme is designed to support early-years environmental education through creative, hands-on learning experiences.

By teaming up, we can align our new educational workshops with your local environmental goals. We would be absolutely thrilled to discuss how we can work together to bring this impactful programme to schools and community centres across your county.

Kind Words

“Thank you for a fun, interesting and creative morning. The children really enjoyed your workshop and they are very proud of their creations. Hopefully it will encourage the children to think more about preloved and upcycling their clothing”
